well im in the process of putting on my turbo. right now everything is stock. like the fuel pump which will be changed later on when the turbo is actullay on. ok so heress the deal. i put in the new 315cc injectos light green tops or whatever the same ohm independency. and i regapped my plugs to .030 all trac spec. the car wont run for more than like 1 secound lol. whats the problem? every thing is stock except the injectors and gap setting. help.

If you haven't changed the fuel pressure from stock then thats simply not the case. Injectors don't start 'dripping' until very low fuel pressures, it depends on the injector, but somewhere around 20psi. Your stock fuel pump will provide more than enough flow at idle. At high rpm and boosting you could have problems with flow on the stock pump. I.e. if it doesn't flow enough under these conditions the fuel pressure will drop and cause a lean condition. Just try turning down the SAFC in the low throttle map at 1000rpm. Turn it down to -20% and see if it will start. You're not going to hurt anything by doing this and it could answer many questions about whats going on. |
