I just realized that I need to pick up some bolts in order to mount my engine to my new engine stand I just bought.
Any ideas the size of bolts I need to pick up? (I'm obviously going to get grade 8 bolts, and I think they need to be course/fine thread, and maybe 3 1/2" in length - but diameter I'm not sure of) Halp? ![]() Hoping to mount the block on the flywheel side of the engine... 3/8''-16 x 3-1/2'' - should do the trick.
Sounds about right. Thanks bsamps4! -------------------- |

Thanks bsamps4! ? shouldn't it be metric? if it is close to a 3/8- 16 it is probably a 10mm 1.5 to clarify the 10mm probably has a 17mm head. A 3/8 -16 may actually thread in a ways but it is a smaller diameter with a different thread pitch so you could damage the block threads if you use those.
