Hi all! i have been having an ongoing problem with my swap when driving. I get a weird hesitation/sputtering when trying to accelerate.
the problem happens more when im on the highway at a steady cruise, my AFR goes blank (reads ---) and car hesitates/sputters. when i get on the gas it stops. after recently having the car sit for about 9 days i started her up and took it for a drive, upon initial acceleration (1st and 2nd gear) car sputtered and hesitated real bad, but after the car was driven for a while it pretty much stopped. its rough initially then smooths out when car is warmed up. any ideas as to why this may be happening would be appreciated! car is running on stock waste gate pressure at the moment (8psi) IC piping seems to be ok... could it be a fueling issue? it may be leaning out. Cam (boosted185) says I just need to tune it as the pistons are SLIGHTLY larger than stock pistons when he rebuilt the motor. -------------------- |

you guys wont believe this... i got stuck on the side of the road, car was sputtering a bit while i was on my way to an appointment. but was ok.
on my way back i COMPLETELY lost power but electrical systems inthe car seemed ok. gave ol dr. tweak and camshaft cam a call and find out its the EFI fuse.... So i manage to get another one, and go about my way thinking all is well... BOOM it blows again... and SEVERAL more times on my way to my destination. I noticed everytime that i put a new one in, i didnt get the sputtering, but it would progressively get worse before the fuse blew. I checked all lined from the fuse box into the harness nothing seemed to be causing a short. eventually It got to the point where i couldnt even put the car in gear to take off before the fuse would blow. I messed with the fuse box, looked under it at the connections to the harness and raised the box up a little bit (to keep pressure off the wires) and there was no problem! only thing that happened after that was i was running very rich, and could smell gas. the car also rev's higher, and after i got on it one good time it began giving me that "honda rev" when i was at a light. Its behaving itself now with the exception that its burning gas worse than before and my vaccum at idle is 16-17. Sorry to type so long... but to answer the questions: Sam" im using a walboro 255, malecrod im beginning i have a leak in additon to whatever electrical problem is going on, and itchy balls, the car is MAP sensored this is pretty wierd as it never happened before just got bad all of a sudden! It was suggested by cam that i unplug each body plug under the dash adn plug each one in one by one until the fuse pops... will try that if it starts up again -------------------- |
