Hello all.
Anybody else notice that without any kind of dust shield between the rotor and the wheel that everytime it rains the rotors grow a nice layer of rust. So first off is there supposed to be a dust shield on the outside of the rotor instead of just the inside? I have no way of knowing if there was and maybe a PO took it off for 'cosmetics'. The first isnt bad, it only takes a stop or two to clean the rotors off but this cant be good for the rotor and pad. Surely it makes the surface a little uneven. Since pulling the car into the garage isnt a viable option( 3 cars, a truck and a bike plus lots of crap) is there a way to minimize this issue without putting a car cover on everytime it rains(and hauling a wet car cover in the trunk)? Maybe a ceramic rotor of some sort, or perhaps a dust shield that isnt too ugly? Anyways, share your thoughts and ideas |
