Hey! I was just wandering how does everyone get their car washed? By hand or through the car wash? What kind of car wash soap do you use and how do you get your car waxed? Yourself? Or hired some one? By hand or power tools? What brands?

Definitely wash and wax by hand. I use Turtle Wax Zip Wax. It's a wash and wax. Can get a gallon of it at Wal-Mart for little over $5. Takes about 1 ounce for one wash, and 128 ounces in a gallon. So 128 washes for $5-6, can't beat that. Works great, even better than the Armor-All Wash&Wax I used before. That and it smells of limes. :3 I wash once a week. I'd say every other week is still good. Use a sponge, and a soft brush meant for washing cars. I let it air dry. Can go over any water spots on glass with vinegar or denatured alcohol. Once the water stops beading the way it should is when I wax. I wax by hand. Use wax of your choosing. So far I've been using Meguiar's and Turtle Wax. My wheels are clear-coated, so washing them is good. If yours aren't Mother's aluminum/mag polish is good. For faded black rubber/plastic pieces I find using tire shine on them before washing a good way to bring back colour. Also something called Back to Black for said applications, but I figure it's probably the same thing chemically.
