I'm in the market for an e-153 lsd transmission. After doing some searching on this site, and some searching on the web I've gotten myself confused. I've heard a lot of members say that they preferred the e-153 out of the Solara due to the newer better bearings, but after searching around online it came to my attention that the Solara's were not available with the limited slip, and that i would have to buy the LSD separate and install it. Is this true? What about the v6 camry? Is that non-lsd as well? It would be pointless for me to go through all of this conversion crap just to get a non-lsd transmission.

no ill feelings, just explaining whats going on My bad, my original post I meant that he would have to have the case machined it just didnt sound right so I left it at the fwd vs mr2 trans having different layouts of the linkage. It seemed rude to the OP and I wanted to leave the door open to alternatives to modifying the case. Surely there is kit or combination of linkages that will allow the mr2 trans to adapt to the celica shifter. |
