I'm making this its own thread for search purposes, just another story of a clutch disc losing a spring on a 3SGTE swap with the S54 tranny.

The swap had 30k on it, I am unsure if the clutch was new when it was swapped or if it was used, but I'm assuming it was new. So 30k and dead...

PICS:

If you look up the name ASCO it directs you to Aisin which is the OEM manufacturer for Toyota Clutches. This tells me that a quality, performance clutch is necessary for a 3SGTE swapped with an s54. I know most people already know that, but I just wanted to add another story and some more proof to the argument.

hmm similar to what happend to another guy here in so cal.

Is that a 3SGE disk with a 5sfe spline??

Hey manny I know as you mentioned before in another thread that we can use an upgrade stage 2 5sfe clutch disk on a 3sge beams motor. What is the diameter of a 5sfe vs a 3sge disk????
