I have the 6 speaker stereo system and I want a little more bass. Just to get a full sound out of the audio. I was thinking of replacing either the door speakers or rear speakers with 8" subs but I'm afraid that I'll loose too much mid and high. Has anyone done this, and how does it sound?
And adding a sub and amp in the rear hatch isn't an option for me. I really don't like them taking up space or having to remove it if I need more room. -------------------- 99 Celica GT-S

i respect that u want to keep as much oem as possible, but those speakers are so crappy by today's standards.. we all have to compromise at some point.. stock amp that has to be bypassed is under the driver's seat.. mine is an ST, so i only have the in stereo amp and it didnt have to be bypassed for anything
