I have a book AAALLL about every generation Celica and Supra made. It's nauseatingly detailed first by generation, then by year. It goes so far as to tell you what options were available and colors that year and how much they cost (though it does leave some things out that I've thought of). I had no clue there were so many different damned trim levels/editions/models of the first two generation Celica's! It also goes into in depth detail about WRC with every car and what happened every year, with what car, driver, record, blah blah blah.
Anyways ... there were a few optional equipment items I noticed while reading that were available to certain trim levels in certain countries that I have never heard anyone speak of and just wondered if anyone has any of them on their 6gc. I'll list the ones that I didn't know about, feel free to add to the list or just shout out things on your ride that you feel are super rare. - 4-wheel steering - optional Superstrut suspension (not including the obvious GT-FOUR and SS-III that it came standard on) - optional Sport Suspension available on USDM GT (I have this but never hear anyone talk about it) - Headlight washers - SS-III 25th anniversay edition (whole car or unique parts from) - SS-I "White Edition" (whole car or unique parts from) This is all I've found so far that I thought was on the rarest of rare side. Feel free to add others! -------------------- 99 Celica GT-S

- 4-wheel steering
Available on the rare ST203. - optional Superstrut suspension (not including the obvious GT-FOUR and SS-III that it came standard on) Does the book say this came optional on models besides the SS-I/II/III/GT4? Interesting. - optional Sport Suspension available on USDM GT (I have this but never hear anyone talk about it) Nothing too fancy there, but relabeled as a GT-S in Canada. - Headlight washers Always cool to see members with these post them up ![]() - SS-III 25th anniversay edition (whole car or unique parts from) Never knew the SS-III had an anniversary edition. I thought it was limited to just ST's. - SS-I "White Edition" (whole car or unique parts from) Is there any more info on this? I thought it was limited to just ST's. - SS-I "White Edition" (whole car or unique parts from) Is there any more info on this? - Superstrut suspension (SsS): Besides being stock on the GT-FOUR and SS-III, the book says that it was optional on the SS-II, if you opted for the SsS, you also got twin piston calipers. It says nothing about it being available for the SS-I. Only that the SS-I was the only trim available with 4ws (you are correct, ST203) - I'd like to see the headlight washers. Back in the late 80's and 90's my parents always drove Mercedes D class's for their daily driver and they all had them. But then Mercedes stopped making a turbo diesel and they've bounced around from Cadillac, to Lexus to Acura, ad nauseum ... - SS-III 25th anniversay edition: Only 1000 made. Had a "MOMO steering wheel and leather covered gearknob (this is a UK book that I ordered btw so it's written in English, English), the Celica name embossed in the seats, and sporty orange lettering on the gauges instead of the usual white, set in a grey meter panel ... 20,000 yen more than regular SS-III" - SS-I "White Edition": I'm paraphrasing here .. "April of 97, Toyota launched the so called 'SS-I White Edition' for the JDM so sell alongside the SS-I SE, which was carried over from 96. Finished in Super White II, with colour coated wheels, the car came with a rear spoiler and side skirts like those of the SS-III. Inside, the seats were Celica embossed, the gauge faces white and fitted with a 6 speaker stereo." And I'm actually more doing this to listen to peoples reactions and to find out who actually has any of this, not really trying to confirm any of it. -------------------- 99 Celica GT-S
