I have the 6 speaker stereo system and I want a little more bass. Just to get a full sound out of the audio. I was thinking of replacing either the door speakers or rear speakers with 8" subs but I'm afraid that I'll loose too much mid and high. Has anyone done this, and how does it sound?
And adding a sub and amp in the rear hatch isn't an option for me. I really don't like them taking up space or having to remove it if I need more room. -------------------- 99 Celica GT-S

might explain why my 6.5" replacement speaker in the passenger door is very quiet
![]() But the stock 6spkr from 6.5 I put in the driver door is pretty loud? maybe bad wiring.... or maybe a speaker that has a mid in it trying to put out the bass .... would make sense cause even my stock 6.5 in the drivers side doesn't have any mid too it whatsoever... hence the job of the 4" speaker. -------------------- ![]() |
