OK i knew what i did wasn't a good thing for my car. its not a mystery why i bottom out or why i need coil overs. i asked a simple question and everyone started assuming i had no idea what i was doing. but when i decided to cut my springs i knew damn well that it was bad for my car. i just didn't care about that set up. I'm not an idiot i know cutting springs is bad. i was wondering if modification was possible because my friend told me there was somebody who did something similar on a miata forum. thanks for all your... input.

Heating springs with blowtorch > cutting springs

Get as much extra weight on the car as you can to squash the suspension( maybe a couple friends sitting on it?) and at the same time heat the coiled spring on the strut as evenly as possible with a blow torch. The spring will now be forever forged into a shorter height. Of course, the spring rate will never be proper again, just like a cut spring.
