Noob here...
I have a 1997 Celica ST Hatchback 5 speed. Radio recently went out. A friend of mine gave me his stock AM/FM CD/Cassette player from his 1996 Celica. I'm attaching a picture so you know which unit I'm referring to. Now, my question is... will this unit work with my car? Or do I need an AMP? I looked in my owners manual & this particular stereo was offered my my model year. Just need to know if it will work or do I need the factory AMP. Also, How do I look to see if my car already has an AMP? ![]() ![]() Any help is GREATLY appreciated! Thank you! This post has been edited by jdbirk88: May 17, 2012 - 5:22 PM |

The amp sits behind the climate control unit. If you have a 6 speaker system, you have a factory amp. 8 speaker system, two factory amps.
