I had to change the engine in my 95 ST, so i bought a 7A-fe from a junkyard with 30,000 miles from a 97 corolla. The thing is, the mechanic told me that the trans isnt lining up (my ST is manual) and there is a crank sensor or something that might be a problem. Will this engine fit? If not, what mods will be required to make it fit??

No no no... it'll work. If your car is 5 speed... and the engine is auto... you'll need to swap flywheels. That's probably why it's not lining up correctly. As for the crank sensor... I believe you can just get rid of it... cause the OBD1 Celicas don't use it anyways...
