Depends on what you want.
A 3vz-fe or 1mz-fe can be had cheaper than a 3s-gte and has about the same power, stock for stock. You can use your stock GT transmission for both. From there on, you only have two other options, which are both money pits. 3s-gte or 2gr-fe. 2gr-fe is a 3.5L V6 that can be minimally modded to get about 300whp. 3s-gte is 3s-gte. For these two, you might want the Camry Solara e153 fwd transmission. -------------------- 1993 Celica GT Coupe - sold
