i have a 1994 st 5spd, ive been having lots of issues with tranys in my car. this is the second trans in my poor car in the past 3 months and they both seem to be loosing the input shaft bearing in the left side. im not big on transmisson work but does any one know how to replace the input shaft bearings? does this require pulling the trans apart? thanks in advance.

I haven't posted in a very very long time but I'm having this exact problem right now. If the input bearing is busted you might as well start thinking about a rebuild or replacement. If the bearing is already making noise then odds are that pieces of the bearing have already done more damage within the transmission.
AAMCO charges 800 to pull the trans and pull it apart, it's another 100 to change the bearing. If there is more damage you could be looking at 1300. You can get a rebuilt trans through Auto Zone for $1300, once you bring in your old trans they'll give you back 300. You can get a trans from a junkyard for anywhere from 150 to 300ish most of the time. .....and apparently I can't read because you've already been through transmissions.
