Filled up yesterday. Got home & noticed a strong gas smell in the gas tank area.
Is there a " History " of the tanks getting rusted out in any certain areas or connections // fittings going bad? Before I take it to the shop & put on a lift, it would be good to have the info. I'll check the filler neck areas, fuel line connections // fittings, lines & hoses, & sending unit mount area. Any thing I'm forgetting? Thanks for any tips! |

The seams separate after a while. That's what mine is doing. If I fill it above half, it smells a bit. Not too bad yet though. Not enough for me to get it replaced. My vent neck is also rotted out. My filler neck was rotted when I first bought it, but the owner replaced it when I complained.
