Having some trouble identifying the engine in my 96 ST. The car ran perfectly until a friend of mine changed the plugs, now runs terrible. I then remembered When i purchased the car, the owner had said the engine was swapped out. i looked around the entire engine until finding a small tab under the alternator that read:
2T1BB02E2 TC167804 Ive googled it a bunch a times and looked for toyota engine codes but didnt see anything like it. any help would be appreciated. |

So at the store you'd be looking under Celica ST 1.8L. Not sure if the years matter.
