i have a 94 celica gt. the crank shaft pulley is falling apart its wobbling and making noise. toyota said they'll fix it for 600 bucks, pshhh yeah right. found one at pepboys for a hundred bucks. how hard is this job to replace the pulley? do i have to line up and marks with numbers on timing belt cover even tho im not changing the timing belt? Is it just as easy to take the pulley bolt off, pull the pulley out and replace with a new one and tighten everything back up?? any input would be great. thanks.

In addition to the above, when putting the bolt back on make sure that you don't cross thread it.

In addition to the above, when putting the bolt back on make sure that you don't cross thread it. that is a very hard thing to do. the bolt is about 3/4 in in diameter and fairly good threads. -------------------- 2001 Celica GT-S Turbo
