I've gotten into the habit of shifting into neutral while driving to coast and save fuel... BUT if the injectors are cut off, it would be better for me to leave it as the engine won't be "idling".

im going off how my car behaves. watch your wideband O2 sensor when you are still in gear and coasting. it immediately goes all the way lean. thats because the injectors are shut off.if you let it coast until you hear the engine fire back up its about 1200 RPM for me.
