Have a knock or clunk felt in in the steering wheel when either turn left or right or going over bumps. cant tell if its the rack or the steering u joint that connects to the rack and column. replace the inner rack ends and tie rod ends. but the knock is def something to do with the steering. any input would be great.

yea looks like that too, actually looks like that on my tacoma too, never really checked it in the celica. My pic looks more like a honda's. just look around at all the mounting bolts, there should be some type of bushing or grommet looking bushing. how does your rack look or move when someone steers left to right and you are looking at the rack. again there should be more pressure when the car is on the ground but if it is on jacks you might not see much movement if any at all. i usually like to check it if you can try to find a way to look at the rack while you are turning it while its on the ground. if you don't see much movement thats good. but there are two things to check if it moves while it hits bumps or side to side movement. you can take out the bushings to see.
