So my car just hit the 200000 miles mark and I was wondering what kind of maintenance I would need if the original owner never changed any of the parts. Btw its an A/T

What we thought too until we changed the trans fluid in my mom's minivan. Worked fine as it was, right after changing the fluid it started to slip. Wasn't that long before it wouldn't go at all. Can look this up on the internet, many people have had this happen to them.

I guess one option would be to drain all the fluid and drop the filter and place it all into a pan. Inspect it for grime build up and metal chips. If none of that is present proceed with new filter and fluid. If that is present, put the old fluid and filter back in and top it off.
