So I just purchased my second celica. 1995 convertible, 154, 000 miles. Changed the oil today, by myself. Used Mobil 1 high mileage oil, per your advice. Is there any other maintenance I need to do? Or problems I need to look for? The timing belt and water pump have been changed. She seems to be "loose" in the front end. Handles great, but there is a popping noise when I turn? Any ideas?
P.S. I am female, take that as you will! lol |

You are not supposed to change fuel filter on those cars, it is made so that it should work all the car's lifetime.
Toyota probably will tell you this if you try to buy a new one from them. If you got a lot of dirt in the fuel tank I might consider it, but if not, I would just keep it as it is. -------------------- Black Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205 1996 (My love..)

It sucks. -------------------- |

It is pretty easy to change out. Though it may have been built to last the lifetime of the vehicle, the vehicle has lasted longer then the proposed lifetime of said fuel filter and needs changing. I've changed both out on mine, and have had pleasant results each time. Old cars collect gunk..everywhere in & out. |
