***Update-6-29***
I need to buy a new header, my oem is horribly cracked w/a half-assed weld job, and the heat shield is cracked and missing half the bolts. I've searched the site and found that most of you have bought the ebay aftermarket header(typically for the corolla), and have to do some modifications to make it fit(i.e. welding an extra piece of pipe, making a second bung hole for the second o2 sensor). That's all fine with me if I absolutely have to, but was wondering if anyone has purchased the one from M2 Performance: http://www.m2performance.net/product/produ...?productid=5932 Supposedly it's just for the Celica, or are there still mods as mentioned above? I'm not sure I even have the second o2 sensor as I have not been able to get under my car yet, and I have only an all stock 1.8 ST engine. Ideally I'd still like to be able to pass emissions though, so I don't know if this modification is worth the hassle if I can't pass emissions without a stock header. Thanks for any info you guys can share! This post has been edited by celicakitten: Jun 29, 2012 - 4:52 PM -------------------- 2004 Celica GT-2zz w/6-speed swap

a 5sfe has a cat on the stock header manifold and if you have a cali spec, there should be another cat on the downpipe. The 5sfe header starts as a 4-1 and then connects to a single outlet downpipe which is the "1" part, and then continues to the resonator pipe and then finally the muffler, if you get a 3sge header, you have to worry about where the O2 sensor is so thats one worry. the 2nd worry is that the stock 5s downpipe will not bolt up because a 3sge is a 4-2-1 header set up thus the pic that i posted showing the two outlets. the simplest way to handle this purchase is just to get a 5s header because the 3sge exhaust design is different until the b pipe/downpipe. from there on, the catback (piping after bottom cat) should be the same for both st202 and st204.
to make it more simpler for you, get a 5s header on ebay not a 3s. redo your downpipe to 2.25, and then get a bolt on exhaust 2.25 piping size w. a good resonator or get it fabbed. when I meant ebay header, not the ebay header you posted thats a 3s but an ebay header for the 5s. there is no straight advantage on getting a 3s header for the 5s really and you make the install more confusing or 2 things to buy. Although the 5s header is not branded and is the most common construction for affordable aftermarket headers, its the best option for you and makes it the most easiest to install. Here is the link below, just scroll down to see them. I'm pretty confident they are manufactured from the same factory.
