Hello all, I recently got an ST205 clip for a swap this winter and obviously need a new tranny. My question: As someone who isn't going to be on a track, is LSD worth it? I don't plan on racing but will I still feel the power or is it worth the time it takes to try to hunt one of these E153 LSD tranny's down?
Thanks. |

QUOTE you can also read one like camerons, (ted95) where one launch on the street, shears the axle at the hub where it goes into the tranny, (although I do believe that was an issue that was caused by the axle not being seated into the tranny properly.) I think you are correct about that, Manny. In order for a steal axle to experience enough torsion force to produce that type of deformation one side of the axle would have to remain stationary while the other (the transmission side) would have to produce a large amount of torque. Under normal conditions this would never be possible because the torque force produced by the transmission would make the tire loose traction before anything else happened. Therefore the steel would never experience enough torsion force to produce that kind of deformation. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
