Has anyone ever thought about puting an intercooler on the other end of your intake, assuming you don't have close to the amount of money for a full turbo. Would this put COLD air in to you intake? IF you did do it would you need a filter on the other end of it, or would you just cap it? Weird Idea but maybe there is some horsepower to gain here. Any comments are appriciated!

Intercoolers are only useful for turbo'd cars. Why?
Because the air being compressed by the turbo is heated in the process. The intercooler acts as a radiator to cool this air down before it enters the engine. Air going into a N/A car is already at an ambient temperature, thus rendering an intercooler useless. |
