So... I have a 96 ST. I want to get a nicer sound from the exhaust (not ricey)... and think I want to get this Magnaflow:

My question, which might be basic but I don't know the answer... is can I just swap this to the stock set up without getting a check engine light? I can't afford a catback (if I could even find one) and it seems expensive to swap out all of the piping to 2.25 too. Thoughts? Any feedback is appreciated.
