when to court yesterday, almost got 6 months in prison for spinning my tires getting onto a main late one night with no traffic around. I got pulled over by 5 cops and thrown outta my car and they tore my car apart looking for something. Judge ruled 200 dollar fine and 20 hours driving school.......i'm pissed but better then jail time.
What has this world come to when someone can get away with murder but almost get sent to jail for spinning his tires.... |

I agree that there are a lot of dumb laws, but the one for not pulling over for an emergency vehicle I can understand. Well, mostly because I still live at home and my dad's a cop. He b*tches all the time about how people won't get out of his way when he's going to a call while running code(lights/siren). He had to back up his beat partner who was fighting a guy with a knife one time and people wouldn't get out of the way. So, just think if it was someone you knew who was in trouble and the cops, firefighters, or ambulance couldn't get there in time because someone wouldn't move out of the way. Just something to think about... ![]() Well, just read this part: "Dont get me wrong on that law, i just think it's upsurd that they had to make it a low in the first place. I mean how the hell is a cop going to stop what he is doing and pull you over to give you a ticket for getting in the way and then proceed to whatever he was doing. I just they could just call in the plates or whatever but it's still common sense like you said to get out of the way." Not only can they call in the plates, they also have it on video. All the cop has to do is go back and look at the tape. And the tapes aren't biased ![]() This post has been edited by CupCrazy38: Feb 22, 2004 - 7:59 PM |
