Hey everyone,
I'm looking to get my hands on the pair of belts for my 3rd gen, so I'd like to know if 2nd gen belts will work on a 3rd gen. I know the power steering belt will, but I'm not sure about the AC compressor/Alternator belt. It would be so awesome if the 2nd gen belts work because then I would just be able to get them through my local toyota dealer. Input is appreciated! -------------------- ![]() |

Count the ribs then measure the length with string and look up in an online parts catalog?

Count the ribs then measure the length with string and look up in an online parts catalog? I don't have the belts on hand at the moment, plus part numbers dont cross reference at my dealer unfortunately. I was hoping one of the current 3rd gen guys could chime in since I'm sure they've run into the same issue EDIT: Purchased an st185 belt and it worked just fine. For those fixing up their 3rd gens in the future, the st185 serpentine belt will work on a st205 engine This post has been edited by enderswift: Aug 26, 2012 - 10:06 AM -------------------- ![]() |
