 What you see is the copper wire that makes up the Hall Effect pickup. There is normally a bit of plastic that protects the coil of wire which left us on the track. With that gone, a bit of wire must have snuck out and quickly was collected by the distributor. The coil was collateral damage as you can see it popped. Sorry OP, but if it were an alternator, i'd really tell you to buy an OEM REMAN one because the price is good, but for distributor, i think its too expensive compared to an aftermarket reman. -------------------- 94 Celica GT
