Does anyone know definitely weather the 1.8l st uses the same tranny as the 1.8l 7th gen corolla? I ask because I want to know if the cc axles will be the same.I plan to upgrade the suspension to the celica 5 lug all wheel disc brake set up because after a nice weapon r intake a set of headers and a high flow cat I just think The standard suspension isn't going to do the trick ..... The car is much more aggressive now.
Sorry if I posted in the wrong section wasn't sure if I should post here or in engine section

thanks Joe

So far from what I've learned through a friend at the parts store the cv axels are definitely different lengths which isn't a problem I'm down to going to the local junkyard and measuring the routers and counting splines. I had previously considered using parts from a Camry but there is a size difference there that frightens me. Not sure if it going to be bolt on or if I will have to make some hybrid axels. I'll let you guys know for sure though as I've noticed many of us celica owners have corollas for daily drivers
