Hi! In process of de-badging and I've got a couple questions.
1. Whilst de-badging the rear Toyota emblem, what is the best thing to do with the two holes that are left behind? 2. As for the Toyota emblem on the front, how exactly do you get that off? I've heat-gunned and cut away the tape with dental floss, as well as cleared all remaining residues of the 3M adhesive using a terry cloth saturated with WD-40. Now, I've just got the holes to deal with (I don't want water leaking into those) and since the adhesive is cut from the front emblem, it's just kind of sitting pinned there with the edges sticking up. Any suggestions would be appreciated, and thanks for your time and help! |

So still no good ideas? Lol. I'm in need of this help too. Removing the back toyota logo emblem has made holes that water seeps through everytime I wash my car. It seeps all the way down to where the spare tire is and it sits there until it evaporates. I'm scared it might rust it out overtime and it'll create holes. ![]() Exactly why I felt like I needed to cover mine with at least something for now. Especially since those holes go directly into the hatch and with CO being so bipolar with it's weather I didn't want those plastic panels to have any potential to start warping and/or breaking! Edit: I went to reply with an idea that I had but got sidetracked and didn't even put my idea.. ![]() But yeah, I had an idea for a semi-permanent solution that I was too lazy to do, resulting in me sticking that tiny Toyota emblem back on over the holes. Either way, I was thinking if you took those panels on the hatch out and put some duct tape or even masking tape on the back of the holes, you could then fill them from the exterior of the car with something like silicone that would provide a waterproof seal if you do it right. The tape is just to have the silicone set flush across the holes without it just dripping! But that's just one idea, I guess! Any more?
