My 1995 Toyota Celica ST's camshaft position sensor in the distributor is broken.
The engine light turn on and the code is 12. However, the car still runs well on highway. My question is, what kind of reason made it damaged like that in the picture? I just wonder if I replace the distributor with a new one, would it be broken again? And, is there any way that just replace the camshaft position sensor? I can only find the whole distributor on sale. Thank you! ![]() This post has been edited by dangqiwu: Jan 2, 2013 - 11:35 PM |

By the looks of it, I think it'd be better to replace the whole thing...
