Ok soo I just recently got rid of my system and with my new found lack of noise violating woofers I've notice my tranny whines abit when accelerating. I don't know how long its been doing it but I don't remember hearing it when I got my car six months ago and I a little worried lol. Any clue what's causing it??

Easy way to see if that's it.
Rev the engine in N. If you hear the whine, it's not the trans. MOST gear oil is pretty much the same thing and won't make much difference, as long as you have enough in there. Even though you just filled it a few months ago, if you're having a problem it's a good idea to check it. One major difference between the engine and transmission oiling systems is while the engine pumps the whole time it's running, the trans only pumps when the car is moving. So if you have a leak somewhere besides the bottom you may not see it until it's too late. --------------------  |
