I got my set of brembo rotors yesterday and was wondering if they are supposed to come machined or not? Mine are not machined. I ordered them online. Should i machine them? I do see some sort of pattern where the pads go. It might be where the rotors were cut.

I am pretty sure that they are made that way (i.e. they take a formed piece of metal and turn it to the proper thickness). About all you should need to do is take a piece of garnet paper and run it over the braking surface to get rid of any finishing stuff (chemicals, residue, boogers left by the guy packing them for shipping, etc.). Be sure to follow the manufacturer's recommendation for bedding in the new pads, though. That will be the most important part.
