morning everyone i have a bad leak and its come to my attention from mostly the oil pump seal area so i know digging in there is not going to be fun or easy but i was wondering should i change the timing belt and water pump if im going to change that seal since its on the way or basically right there. what parts should i buy from i want reliable parts and oem is expensive but thats what i usually get anyway. so i need to know if anyone has advice and also links to guides on how to change everything properly should i change any other seals near that area example cam seals or anything like that also tensioners and the other belts im going to change. its a 1999 celica gt with a 5sfe 2.2l 97k miles and im not 100% sure if the previous owner has done the timing belt and water pump change yet.

The correct anwer would be, "Yes".
Do it all while you're in there if you can, because most of it needs to be removed to even gain access to the oil pump seal anyways... and its a big job you don't want to have to do it all over again any time soon. ![]() -------------------- |
