(My buddy's car) the car is acting like the clutch isn't engaged. We press it but nothing happens. Never had a manual car of my own so no idea
I think it's the master cylinder because of a old thread I read err where jim(or manny I think) was talking about If the slave comes out when clutch pedal depressed and goes back in slowly it's the slave; if it doesn't move it's the master clutch cylinder. But then I don't think so cuz the pedal wasn't getting stuck before ever. It was workin fine before. Suddenly we were havin problem putting it in third, then we pulled over and shut it off, then realized the car wouldn't detect the clutch pedal being pressedbasically. I put it in gear, depressed the pedal and try to push it and the car doesn't move like its in gear(it's suppose to so that but not with the clutch pressed u know) the pedal itself feels wierd like it would press in really easily without resistance and also when we let go its gonna push back out fast http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab119/m...2A872E9DCBB.mp4 Is there any fluid I need to check? Ordered slave from autozone for 18$ master was 62$ ill start with slave go from there. your honestly better off getting them right from toyota as it will be a better quality part. ive heard people buying autozone or advanced autos slaves and masters and they go bad in about 3 months (mainly master) .. it may have been helped along by a heavier pressure plate but i would still recommend one from toyota. -------------------- st205 powered ss3 coupe
