Need some advice. I have a 95 gt 5sfe 5 speed celica. It will start an d drive down the road a few miles then it straight up dies. After it dies it wont fire up again till it sits for a short amount of time (about an hour). I pulled the codes and got a code 12, 13, and 14. Tested the primary resistance on the coil and found it was too high. Replaced coil, cap, rotor, wires, and spark plugs and I'm still having the same problem. Any advice?

Dang looks like I've more than likely got the same problem then... I put my igniter in yesterday with no luck =|

In my case, the copper wiring inside the distributor had unraveled itself and took out the coil also. You probably would have noticed this when replacing your coil, however. But yeah this is what I had check first when I ran into the problem, took apart my dizzy and it looked like someone put a gingers hair clippings in it lol |
