So as someof you know that my car was having problems getting the driver side axle to turn,
The tranny shop 1st said that some bearing on the transmision is bad so the cv axle isn't sitting there rite to recieve power

Later he said that my differential needs replacement, he should the differential today and one side is completely smooth while the other is worn out. I asked him if we can just replace that one side like a mini rebuild e said no

I'm just making sure that what he said makes sense .

Is it worth paying 600 for the job?
(Since he started the job I owe him 300 if he doesn't do anything and out the car back, 400 if he replaced really bearing he was talking about. 600 for new differential and all)

Also what bearing is he talking. About anyone know?

EDIT: Oh it's an automatic? $600 is way too much then... Like richee3 says, you could probably find a manual conversion for that price or less.
