just a few days ago my car started dying while i drive. I didnt drive it for a while because my radiator was leaking so this problem came out of nowhere. I should note that before i parked it because of the radiator leak, my battery died because i left the headlights on. ive killed my battery about 4 times before this because of the same reason. Do you guys think that the culprit is the battery? The car idles fine btw. It only dies when i'm driving

Sounds like you have a bad alternator. I hope its just that. If my alternator was bad though would it still idle fine? And is the 5SFE alternator the same as the GT-fours? When you say it dies when you're driving, does it only happen when the engine is being revved freely? or only when the engine is under load or during acceleration? I tried driving a bit to see how it was dying but, sometimes it dies when im coming to a stop and sometimes it just dies when im braking slowing down. One time it also died when i was still on the gas. The engine is never revved past 3500 |
