im just curious, I've done my brakes several times and recently they started making this loud creaking noise while moving at slow speeds and applying the brakes. After inspecting them I found one of the guide bolt pins was sticking badly. so after replacing them all and putting some fresh anti-seize they've stopped making that noise. well any ways my question is just how often should those guide pins be replaced? Usually i'll use the retainer clips and those V-shaped springs through maybe 2 sets of pads but I've never replaced the pins before now and my Celica is just shy of 250K miles.

Ack, I missed that. Don't use anti-seize on the pins; it's meant to prevent corrosion, not lubricate moving parts. You want to use the same glycol soap-based lubricant on the pins/bushings as you do on the piston.
