Hello, new to the board but no stranger to toyotas in general. I do have a 6g celica but i gave it to my dad as a DD, my real car the 3.3L 2nd gen MR2

Anyway skipping the quick intro, i need to find out if there is a difference between the ATM and MT speed sending unit.
I know part numbers are different but is there any physical difference on the housing/body?
Reason i ask is im trying to install a speed sensor into a gear box which never had one and the design of the S5 gearbox is similar in shape to the closed socket hole in this new transmission project.

confused.gif I dont see how your axel could spin any differently w/ an at or mt especially when the axels are the same...unless it doesn't measure the drive axel but something else, in which case I can't help you. I'm scrapping my auto so i guess i could tear into it and try to see how it works.
