Hello, new to the board but no stranger to toyotas in general. I do have a 6g celica but i gave it to my dad as a DD, my real car the 3.3L 2nd gen MR2
Anyway skipping the quick intro, i need to find out if there is a difference between the ATM and MT speed sending unit. I know part numbers are different but is there any physical difference on the housing/body? Reason i ask is im trying to install a speed sensor into a gear box which never had one and the design of the S5 gearbox is similar in shape to the closed socket hole in this new transmission project. |

axle speed doesn't determine speed, it's calculated with the tire diameter. the combination of the gear pitch will have the final say if it's accurate or not... Look like i'll have to stick with a MTM setup just to keep it consistant
