I just jumped to the final video (Part 11), and it moves fast enough. Says he's taken it on 80 mile round trips down the highway, and could go further still. The steering is powered by a DC hydraulic pump, and he can turn it off while driving on the highway (straight line).
I remembered passing by a few Ford Focus cars at a dealership recently, and one was electric. I looked it up after seeing the electric Celica video, and the gas-powered Focus ST does 153mph according to Car and Driver! My Celica is is a slug when compared to that!
