A local shop told me they'd do the 3sgte 2nd gen swap to my car with the auto to manual swap and everything installed for $4500. How does that sound?

there is more labor with the ST --> 3SGTE swap by far. Engine mounts, basically the whole drivetrain is being replaced. And an auto --> manual conversion? Sell the car and start with a GT. Do a straight motor drop for $750 and you're done (well, then there's wiring).
![]() $4500 for an Auto ST --> Manual 3SGTE I guess is alright. But I'd get it in writing that it ain't going over that and that it's getting done within a certain time frame. They are going to run into a hundred little unforseen issues that are going to swallow up time and money and they're going to try and pass that off on you. - Aaron This post has been edited by abatardi: Feb 27, 2004 - 3:06 AM |
