thanks u guys does any one recommend a particular brand amp to get.. and wut type of capasitor do i need? 1 fared or more?? plus should i get a higher volt battery so that the subs dont drain it all?

As far as an amp, you'll want something that puts out maximum power at 2 ohms, since you're running two 4-ohm single voice coil subs. Since each sub can handle 300 watts RMS, a sub that puts out 600 watts RMS or less would be wise.

Personally, I'd suggest something like a JBL BP600.1. Class D circuitry, 600 watts RMS at 2 ohms, 12db/octave low pass crossover, and excellent reliability make this amp an excellent value. I had a BP300.1 and loved it, and I've never heard anything negative about this amp, except maybe the lack of some features, but it's an excellent amp.

A one farad capacitor should work well for your install. Also, cars like ours use 12 volt batteries. A higher voltage battery will not work. I think what you're maybe thinking of is a deep-cycle battery. If you're going to run your system often with the car off, then a deep-cycle battery is probably a good investment. Otherwise, if you'll mainly be listening to music when the car is on and you're driving, you should be fine with your current battery. wink.gif
