I have a 95 st and it is now running very rough and misfiring. it won't go about 3000rpm as the ecu cuts the fuel. I have a check engine light, but when I short the e1 and te1 pins nothing happens. Is there another way to get the code?

do you turn the key to the on position when you do this?
Te to e1 is what you are supposed to jumper, so it should be working for you -------------------- 2001 Celica GT-S Turbo
