On my way to work the Celica quit!!
![]() Sputtered 1time. Lights & radio work. Starter just whines but doesn't engage. Getting it towed to the shop but it'll be a festering days b4 ![]() Ideas??? Thanks |

hmmm, when my wifes honda civic did the same thing your describing, the timing belt had snapped in half, better check it out, if you kept on trying to turn the car over it might have bent a vavle, good luck man

hmmm, when my wifes honda civic did the same thing your describing, the timing belt had snapped in half, better check it out, if you kept on trying to turn the car over it might have bent a vavle, good luck man All 6g celica engines are non interference motors so the valves cannot get bent on the pistons if the timing belt does indeed break. It sounds like you said the engine doesnt turn over, do you think the motor may be seized or do you suspect the starter? |
