Ok, so there are two 97 Lincoln Town Cars in my driveway and I have to admit I've fallen in love with the keyless entry keypad above the door handle. I had to replace one of the keypads and a window regulator, and while I had the door apart I realized how easy it would be to swap this system into another vehicle.
I have an aftermarket immobilizer in my 94 GT and I plan on wiring the keyless entry into it. So far I have a spare module for it that goes into the driver door and a keypad with a bad button(no big deal they are $10). I will need to find a very specific wiring diagram for the keyless entry system(not to mention the Toyota), and the door wiring harness from a Lincoln towncar. ![]() Spare Keypad, 1-2 button doesnt work but I can get them at the salvage yard for $10 ![]() Driver door Keyless Entry Module, stores 5 codes. cost $35 at the junkyard. So so far my total starting out for this project is $35, Ill make sure to keep you posted. Lemme know what you think!!! |

There should be ample room in either the door or rear quarter, I'm going to mount the keyless entry module into the driver's door. The lincoln harness should intergrate easily, it only has to splice in and trigger the lock, unlock(both doors seperate) the courtesy lights, headlights. It also has adjustable seat and mirror memory that I wont be using.
Ive got to find a waterproof conductive paint though, being on the outside of a car in the Texas elements is pretty harsh, even if rain is a rare occasion here. And really this is just the tip of the iceberg for my crazy ideas of technology to add, I just havent acquired the skills or technology to even begin my other ideas.
