Hi,
I have had my celica for about 6 months now. I have noticed all my pants have wear on them where my wallet is located. I have never had this problem before with any car or any pants. I am guessing it is something to do with the way I sit down on the seat or some odd way the seat rubs while I am driving. I may swap seats or get some kind of seat cover... the seats are not the cloth type. |

Leather or cloth seat? I could see where leather might push against your wallet more than cloth, but it could also be that there is a hard spot on the seat frame that you can't feel due to the wallet. Take out your wallet, and drive a few miles.
I had a '76 MG Midget when I was 17-18, and the latch on the door frame caught my rear pocket constantly. Every pair of pants I owned had a small tear in the right rear pocket. That's what happens when you're 6'1", and try to fit in a car smaller than Mr. Bean's. ![]() |
