Hello everybody, its my first time posting here but i've been reading this site for about 1 year now. I just got my 97 celica st and i'm looking for some advice. My goal for this car is to have decent power gain to 150 hp. The important thing is that i want to do this myself and not pay hundreds for labor. THe list of mods that i have seen that are practical are the following:
1. Intake (injen or dr cai) with kn air filter 2. Better spark plugs 3. msd ignition 4. cat back exhaust or magnaflow muffler 5. twm short shifter 6. perhaps a chip upgrade or modification my question is what kind of gains can i expect from these mods and if there are any other things i left out. btw, turbo is not practical for me due to lack of knowledge and fear of engine melting. also, what chips are available to allow for more hp gains for the st? |
